Just how DUMB is DOGE?

Reducing an oversized government is smart, but the DOGE approach is DUMB. DOGE oversimplifies a complex world and misrepresents data in service of entertainment, creating a false us/them dichotomy between the American people and civil servants. DOGE is taking a wrecking ball to the government, applying Elon Musk's "delete, delete, delete" approach (Isaacson, 2023). This approach might work well in business; however, applying this approach to the government's human services places people at risk. In this context, dumb is dangerous, and even deadly for the American people.
